Dog House Obedience Club is a collaboration of trainers and advanced obedience clients who get together twice a month to work on fun skills. Classes are led by Fiercely Loyal K9 and Manners Matter K9 Training. Sessions are $25 each. Come join us and take your training to the next level!

OUR STORY
I did not always like dogs. In fact, following a bad experience as a child, I was completely afraid of all dogs for many years. It was not until much later that I finally met a dog I liked (a Chocolate Lab), and I quickly went out and got one of my own. As an adult, I decided to rescue a dog so that I was not constantly by myself at night. I came across a German Shepherd that gave me his paw through the side of the kennel, and I immediately knew that he would be mine. At the time, I did not know anything about working breeds or drive, let alone about the issues of my particular dog. Once I brought my Shepherd home, I quickly learned about reactivity, leash reactivity, and related aggression. I couldn't understand how a dog so good with humans (including children) could be so scary while on a leash.

After seeking out training, I finally found a training company and a system that worked for my dog. It quickly became a challenge of how far I could take his training, and how much I could accomplish with him, so over the next year I spent time learning to off-leash train my now five-year-old German Shepherd. I fell in love with the process, the techniques, and understanding dog psychology and habits. In late 2020, I was given the opportunity to get a Belgian Maliois, and the dog training world exploded in front of my eyes.
I dove into every online blog and went to every seminar and talked to every person that would listen. I wanted to learn from everybody and learn everything. During this time, a colleague said something memorable to me: it starts as a hobby, then turns into a "jobby", and ends in a full time job. I truly found the place I was supposed to be. I continue to seek out education and set up opportunities that will allow me to grow as a handler and a trainer.
